We are thankful to Katy for her contribution and for being an inspiration to others. Below is her latest blog entry:

Katy’s Blog

Over the past few weeks I have been doing a lot of self-care and having me time.
A few weeks ago, I had my bloods done and I got the results. They were not good. I have low iron, B12 and Folic Acid. These are three main ones that help your oxygen in the blood. I was scared by this, and I told myself I will not let this eating disorder take over again. This ED has put my body through so much.

I have added more foods to my ‘safe foods’ list. I am going to start having more foods with iron in them too. I still get some ED thoughts, but I do my affirmations, and it slowly calms me down. I also take my dog out for a walk and see Leighah for my counselling every two weeks and have clinical support emails with Hannah at Physis every two weeks.

I have a 5-year hope, intention and goal to be free of the struggles of this ED, and I am determined to do it!
